I found a deal for Castrol GTX Magnatec 0w-20 for around $16, but I looked at their data sheet and it does not list Ford WSS-M2C945-A standard approved.
Do you think there will be an issue using this oil?

Here's a link to the oil on Amazon if anyone is interested in it:

UPDATE:
They also have 5w-30 on sale for the same price:

This one is Ford Ford WSS M2C929-A and Ford WSS M2C946-A standard approved. I'm not near my service manual, but can we use this?

VatoZone has better deals than that. I just got Castrol full synthetic 5W-20 with a K&N performance oil filter for $27.

I certainly wouldn't use 5W-30. The 0W-20 would be better if you insist on saving $5.

The one you are looking at is the GM DEXO's stuff. It is also the wrong weight. Why would you want any oil in your new car that is not recommended?

The regular Magnatec 5W-20 is Ford approved. For a few bucks more you can get the Castrol Edge with Titanium like the Motorcraft oil that came in our cars.

I have a shit ton of both 0w20 and 5w20 in magnatec oil that I got for like $1.00 qt. On clearance....it will be used.....What about those people who get there oil changed at a local garage and they use the in house synthetic? As long as there is oil in the engine and it's the correct weight there should be no issues..... a 0w20 and 5w20 are both acceptable oils....preferably synthetic but ford has been using a syn. Blend for decades ....even in the GT500.

Reread the original post and pay special attention to the part that says 5W-30.

I realize that...im stating what about the "oils" that DON'T HAVE FORD SPEC ON THE BOTTLE? That garages do utilize when changing oil on your car and you don't know about it?
