New Rims/Tires with new Vibration?

I had new rims 16" Sport Edition SE-17s with 205/40r16 Falken Ziex ZE950 tires installed on Friday. The rims came with hub centric rings and lug nights. I had them installed at a local tire shop. Ordered the tires from the tire shop and the rims from Tire Rack. I noticed a vibration over 65. Seems to be in the right front.

I first thought the lugs were loose. They checked out ok. Then I thought they over tightened the lugs. Loosened and tourqed to spec. It was still there. Decided the right front had to be out of balance. Took it on and they checked all of them again. The left front was a half ounce out of balance. The moved the rears to the front and it made it worse.

The tire shop said it was the lugs, but they were the lugs were the ones that came with the rims. I questioned whether they put the hub centric rings, but they said they verified they were installed. I called tire rack to verify this and they claim one of the tires must be out of round. I'm not sure who to believe. Has anyone experienced this?

if theyre out of round to that point you should be able to see the shake or jump in the wheel/tire when spinning it on a balancer.
honestly though, probably need to have them re-balanced, shake is balance, loose parts, or a damaged wheel/tire.

Maybe the key word there is competent. I'm not sure honestly, but I will take it somewhere else to make sure. Once I made sure it wasn't loose or over torqued lug nuts I figured it was out of balance.

Well that may be true with some of the hunyucks that throw tires on cars these days....But I'd never balance a set of Exotic cars ie...Viper...Ferrari...bentley tires without a road force....ask me how...working with some of the casino Owners here in Mn.

I finally found a local place that has a road force balancer. They can't get me in until Sunday. Hopefully that fixes everything.

I had a similar issue after putting my 15s on. Even went to a few shops and none could actually resolve it completely. It would be fine on the street but as soon as I went on the freeway and got anywhere near the speed limit there would be an odd vibration and feedback. Not enough to make me immediately pull over but definitely enough to cause some concern.

Then I had a wheel alignment done and it resolved it for me. Sure glad I decided to spend that extra for a lifetime alignment and balancing last year...it came in handy for my wheel and suspension mods over the last year or so.

Sorry for not updating you guys. I found a local Firestone store that had a road force balancer and had them balance the rims/tires. They said every single one of them was so far off it maxed the balancer out so we don't know how far they really were off. They said that the place I got the tires installed had put on the weights on the inside lip of the rim and they were extremely off balance from side to side. They got everything squared away. I also had the alignment done. Lifetime alignment and lifetime balance probably a good move for me. I have Vogtland Springs and they said the tow was out. After driving it for 8 days 80-100 miles a day it seems to be doing just fine.

Exactly where I had my alignment and final balancing done. Didn't mention anything about using a road force but it worked out for me. Wasn't sure if that brand was in your area so I didn't mention them before.
