I have been almost set on getting the cp-e system but your claims of drone scare me. I have a pretty long daily commute almost all freeway. I will be running a catless dp, though I dont know the affect it would have on the drone your experiencing.

I have heard a catless dp will help with the drone. I will say, I was hammering on the car today on some back roads and it sounds amazing, burbles and pops galore.

Yes stratified flash tune. Once I upgrade the dp and or go mountune mrx I'll get a custom stratified tune.

I plan on the mrx also. I have a stratified tune but have not used it yet. Was planning on waiting till I get the dp and exhaust on for mod list to give them. You know you could throw that cp-e system my way just so you don't even have to look at that blasted system anymore. [emoji6][emoji16]

Any progress on getting them swapped? Most ppl on here are much less lazy than I. I mull over installs and make sure I have ample time.

The shop finally got the tip done on Wed with the cerakote finish. I won't be able to go pick it up until Monday or Tuesday. I'm also waiting for powerflex hangers to get here. I have Friday the 10th off and hopefully everything lines up and I'll get them swapped out.

1 thing thats really nice on the the thermal is the ability to use what ever tip you want. I think if I did a new tip I would do a turn diwn tip.

EXACTLY what I would do, and I am still going to do a Cerakoted Ultimate Racing 4" outlet turn down tip for my Nexus system (so I can switch off between it and the Cerakoted CP-E dual outlet tip on the car now), by using the spare Nexus tail pipe with the discontinued melon launcher single tip (which will be hacked off) I bought from haste on here. ;)

I am kind of sorry now that I did not Glacier Black Cerakote my WHOLE/COMPLETE Nexus system, instead of just the tail pipe sections. [:(]
(The stuff is AMAZING in it's durability. [thumb])

WOW in the pic with just the exhaust it doesn't look that bad but on the car it looks really big. I imagine it at least sounds the same.

That's a pic from haste's post, not mine. I think he gave a description of it somewhere, and it was mildly modded.

Yes, the big single fart cannon style tip sounded exactly the same as the CP-E split dual tip on the car now, (which in haste's pic is laying on the ground on the right side of the car).

Picked up the tip, looks great! The front edge of the tips are welded for that burnt look and he had to do quite a bit of work to get it smooth but you can still see weld spots if you close enough. He didn't want to risk burning through the welds and splitting the tip open. Overall I am very happy and so ready to get this thing on. Here are a couple pics before and after. I'll get more once it's installed.

Thermal exhaust is finally on!!!

I took it around town and on the highway, NO DRONE!

I even had the back seats down since I just left the shop.

I inspected the cpe with them with the car on the lift to make sure it was not leaking or loose and everything checked out. We did find the source of my rattle that I thought was the exhaust and it was a bolt they dropped that wedged between the cobb mount and the subframe hahaha.

I can't wait to go drive now, I feel like I have my car back oh yea and the burbles lots of burbles, sounds so good.

I'll get some pics of the cerakote tip, looks even better than I had hoped.

Sadly tomorrow I will be swapping the winter wheels/tires.

Now I want a Mountune downpipe....hmmm...
