I have an extra stock turbo that i could measure when i get home from school today. The stock inlet diameter right?
thanks for replying saleenS7fan
i actually removed mine. needed it for making a 32mm turbo restrictor.
it's all made now.
turns out inlet is really, really small and restrictor with thin walls looks ridiculous!

C.A.R.S. rules make you restrict the factory turbo?!?! [crazyeye]
not just CARS but pretty much any sanctioning body. Rally rules.
all turbo/supercharges have to have restrictors either 32 or 34mm depending on class
has nothing to do if it's OEM or aftermarket.
would be ridiculous to run Focus ST and Fiesta ST both in the same 2WD class
with stock turbos and have Focus tremendously more power don't You think?
at least with 32 mm both have somewhat equalized chances
not quite of course but somewhat lol

^^^True, but power to (minimum required) weight (by using the restrictors only on the much more powerful turbo cars) would be a much better step towards parity. [wink]

it's more complicated than this.
me and my co-driver might weigh 200 kg but i know a team who's combined weight is half of that
can never equalize completely
but in stage rally suspension is the key.
Reiger $15K worth will beat 2K suspension with ease.
sequential gearbox will shave half a sec. on every shift.
multiply by a few hundred shifts... you got the idea [:)]

Absolutely, but IF they allow full-on, WRC level suspension and gearbox mods as (lower than unlimited/open) class legal, that is even LESS parity for the not as wealthy/generously sponsored teams to deal with.

(I always thought the Reiger setups started at $30K+ and went up from there!)

THEY may allow it in the future but there are always guys with limited budget and you're talking to one of them lol
and nope, half decent Reigers with external canisters start at 15k but surely one can go as much as 15 per corner if his pockets are deep enough
and since mine are not i purchased M-sport Bilstein gravel kit for 3K CAD =o)
