Tapping/clunking noise in dash

My new ST has an intermittent loud tapping noise coming from the dash that appears to be related to switching between vents, defrost, etc. I can't reliably get the noise to appear, but it clearly has something to do with the vent system switching. Has anybody experienced this? The car is new so it will be under warranty, but if anyone has experience with the problem I would like to hear about it for sure. Thanks.

It's the AC blend door actuator. Do a search for details. Common issue.

There's a TSB out for it. Mostly common on 15-16 models

Blend door actuator. There's a huge thread on it. Seems like most of us encounter it around 15-30k miles
