I'm putting a second battery into my trunk and I'm looking for a wire that is off until the car is started for the solenoid to connect the two batteries. Is there a wire that goes to the trunk that possess these traits? I probed a couple of the wires back there and didn't seem to find anything. I have done this in the past by tapping one of the wires on the alternator. I checked the wire at the front of the alternator and it appears to have power even when the car is completely off. Plus it's pretty cramped where the battery is, so I'd rather have the isolator live in the trunk.
