Push start, no real key, only a fob, no manual lock knobs/switches... all new to me. What happens if the battery dies? Or the fob that you have with you dies? Or you lock a fob in the car(I assume you can do this)? I don't even know what to search for to figure this out... But I want to be prepared in case it ever does happen.

Okay we've all seen the key slot and we all know there's a hidden key, but what about the ignition? It's entirely a push button! Where do we insert the key to start the car?

I just found out about both, so we don't all know. I had never seen the key slot on the door until 2 minutes ago, when I went and looked. It doesn't exactly pop out on a Magnetic gray car.

But my guess on starting it, is you need the fob due to the immobilizer.

My fob is about to die....
The MFT screen will display a message indicating that the battery is low, and should be replaced soon.

If the fob is dead you can use the key to get in. Then you hold the fob against the steering column where a normal key would go and press the start button.

And just because I like playing Devil's advocate...

RTFM!

Since I tend to be a scatterbrain, I can confirm that you cannot lock the door if the key fob is accidentally left inside.

I have some valuable information that hasn't been mentioned. There have been cases where car thieves have been able to amplify the signal from the key fob enough to where they can gain entry into your FiST and drive off as well.

You should definitely keep your key fob in some sort of faraday cage or pouch. RF signals cannot penetrate this, and that will safeguard your vehicle from being stolen!

Actually my wife accidentally locked herself out of the car with the fob in the car. I believe it was in just the perfect spot to where the car couldn't sense it. I had to bring the spare to her to unlock the car.
