The problem with most 205/45/16 tires especially summer tires the diameter is 23.2" which defeats the purpose of downsizing with meaty tires for comfort. The Conti DWS is the biggest of all 23.3". Ive done image searches and those sizes are thin similar to 205/40/17 tires.

I might 16 inch later but this summer I'm going to all season michelin in 205/45 for the stock wheels. I know I'll be losing a little on the performance aspect but I need protection from those damn potholes.

Nice. What's the max or a comfortable size for 15s? Might turn my winter wheels into summer wheels with all season wheels.

205/60R15, I do not recommended this tire size as it increases the rolling diameter over stock, thus gearing down your car. Nice cushy ride, but not recommended!
What size would you recommend for a 15 inch wheel? And any good tires in the section? Brands?

I have a 6.5 inch wheel. 205 would be good with that or go smaller? And any good tires in that size? Dunlop, anything like that?
