Yep I worked at a shop for a bit, I left because it made me hate cars. When I was in school for it, I enjoyed it quite a bit.

I Went from one extreme to the other...went from working on Automotive vehicles to working on and with humans being a Nurse...talk about seeing weird shit that's done on cars or why would you put that in there...the same goes with humans but less room for error....ya think finding a dead mouse in the Hvac box in the dash of a car is bad....Try working in a Bariatric ward with folks who have issues with personal cares. I work two jobs also......Nursing and Metrotransit dealing with INV/LOGISTICS for the Trains and the Bus system here in Mn. I do ok now...needless to say! The only thing that sucks is I have NO TIME to get anything I want done.

I believe it man. My wife is a RN case manager for a health insurance company. She worked in the hospital's for about 6 years.

Any who back onto oil talk! I change mine very 5k as FORD directed me to...I always have ran Synthetic since its first oil change!

The Cat is out of the bag people! Tanaboon loves to work on cars! Everyone roll over and he will get everything handled! Kidding....wish I could say the same ...being a Technician and practiced for a decade+...I learned real quick to not take my work home with me and to come up with clever names for being a mechanic or Auto technician when I asked what I did for a living....Like Fecal matter fixer.....Warranty specialist...neither of those would get past what is that 9/10 times. The fecal matter fixer was always Ironic...Working for Chrysler LLC.....

I think it's because if something goes wrong, I have the option of saying "Ugh, fuck it, I'll just take it to the shop"

But in the case of mechanics, you guys ARE THE SHOP
