This is what happens when I shift too hard

Yikes. Aren't you afraid of beating the synchros and grinding gears?

Cable pop off under the shifter ? maybe a ZIPTIE fix ?? on the cable shifter end ? I had read someplace that the Steeda Short shifter came with zipties for just that problem i other Ford FWD models

Yep. That cable pops off. It happened the first time I ever drove a Fist during a test drive. Then the 2nd time I went to the track, it happened twice in a row. And then it happened On my way home from work when I made that short video. I just wanted to show everyone what it can do, so they know that if it happens to them, they can fix it, no need to tow to the dealer or drive back to the dealer in 2nd or 4th gear.

The cables did pop off easy when I was modifying the height of the mount, now I will make sure they can't!
