What you're seeing is perfectly normal. The exhaust needs room to move around because it's connected to the engine. Without the ability to move independently of the body it would just bend and eventually break anytime you accelerated and torqued the engine. If you want it to move less then get the hangers that Razorlab linked, but no matter what it's going to move.

thanks guys.. i understand it's normal.. I had 6 cars in my lifetime, none of them moved as much as this exhaust lol i got under the car thinking one of the hangers is probably not properly secured. anyways.. anyone has an exhaust on the fiesta st? i was considering cobb exhaust for $675 .. any other suggestions? videos ? i looked a bit on youtube.. even considering a resonator delete. what have you guys done to enhance the FiST's exhaust sound?

If you want to reduce the movement, you can try what some have done and wrap a zip tie around the exhaust hanger. This will make it a little less compliant and move less. Circle the biscuit with a zip tie, and let us know if you like the difference in movement. I switched to an FSWERKS exhaust, and they have different hanger angles than OEM. This makes for a tighter exhaust that moves way less. I videotaped my exhaust and noticed that the FSWERKS moves way less than the OEM. The youtube link is in my build.

Actually, I did not need to zip tie mine. The design of the FSWERKS hangers reduces the movement of the exhaust. I put some silicone on the biscuits to keep the hangers easier to install. Also helps with motion. Get the Silicone lube from a pool supply place. It's Less expensive
