Castrol EDGE Extended Performance 5W-20
I did my first change from the factory fill with this gold bottle stuff, about a year and a half ago.

But I want a D1G2/SN+ oil in my sump at this point, and for some reason, Castrol/BP has not yet figured out just how to do that with their EP oils yet. [:(]
(Maybe they refuse to go to a boron/magnesium based detergent/dispersant pack over a calcium/sodium based one, in order to get a high enough starting TBN to be extended performance? [dunno])

CANNOT go wrong with this, especially if it is their newer (manufactured after 10/17) low sulfated ash, low NOACK, anti-LSPI, Dexos 1 Gen 2/SN+ beating formula. (YUP, DESPITE it not being an 'official' Ford 945-A spec oil!)[thumb]

I still plan on using the above for my WINTER OCI next year. ;)

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5w-20 is on sale for $25 on Amazon right now. Normally I'm paying $37-40 for a jug.

I couldn't find the Valvoline at any of the auto stores near me, so this time I got Castrol Edge. It's supposed to be good for GDI/Ecoboost engines.

It's at every single Autozone I know of in the states.

According to the survey 28% use Motorcraft oil.

FYI.........Since the Motorcraft branded full Synthetic is all but defunct for retail purchase you can still get the same oil in the Kendall GT 1 MAX. I have it delivered on my doorstep for a little under $5.00 a qt/12 from petroleumservicecompany.com so I am good for another year. Only other oil with the Titanium Ford prefers is the Castrol EP. More expensive and I have to go buy it!
