Trying to make a decision on wheels/tires. Possibly 4x100?

So ever since I saw this picture, I've been going crazy over it. RPF1s have been in my dreams since I bought this car, and once I saw it actually DONE I fell in love.
In that pic, those are 16x8s, +38, with 225/45s, which gives an overall diameter of 24".

Stock tires are 205/40/17... which is an overall diameter of 23.5" so not really a big size difference at all.

The car in the picture has coilovers, and it appears to only be slightly dropped. Maybe an inch? Half inch?

So the way I see it, I have a couple options. Cobb springs would drop a little less than an inch in the front/rear, which should get me about where I need to go. $300.

Then there's the problem that RPFs only come in 4x100. The 16x8 +38s would be around $200-$220 each... so let's just say $850 for wheels. Then there's the process of finding tires.

For sizes, I could go with 225/45s or possibly 215/45s for a closer to stock diameter.

225/45 is a size that ONLY offers HP summer/track tires, apparently... so Star Spec/Proxes. $600-700 mounted/balanced.

215/45 is much better for street tires, offering Rivals, Ecsta XS, RE010 and RE040 (very similar to stock RE050As I think?) Similar 600-700 mounted/balanced.

Of course the most glaring issue is the fact that these wheels don't come in 4x108.. so I have to either have them filled with weld then re-drilled. OR convert the car itself to 4x100. Either way I go, I see it being close to $450-500. If I get the hubs/rotors re-drilled then I have to get rotors re-drilled again somewhere down the line.

So overall, I'm looking at $300 for the springs... $850 for wheels... $700 for tires... $450 for remedying the crap bolt pattern... $2,300. [unsurelaugh]

I'm also considering 6ULs:

which are $165 each, 15x8, +36 and a 67.1mm center bore.. and only weigh 10 pounds per wheel! Compared to 22.5 stock wheels. Albeit 2 inches smaller haha.

Thoughts?

Same boat as you. I just reached out to 949 and got a "maybe" we will make them in 4x108. Guessing he's been bugged a lot. but take that for what its worth. Not much. I had 949s on several cars and would to fit them to the fist. Its a shame we have such little wheel well to work with.
