Intake runners

Intake bowls

Exhaust runner shape.
Notice how one is longer than the other? One is angled. One is straight.

Subbed. I can't tell from the picture, is it happening on intake side or exhaust side? Checking the exhaust side could be a little pain in the ass given how close it is to the windshield shroud and firewall...

Exhaust. All you need is a mirror and flash light.

If your car is not smoking or on fire, its not an issue ( yet at least, lol ).

More incentive for me to go mp215 and keep my warranty. It would suck to have a custom tune and have that crap happen. Hopefully it's not a common thing on all the fists

At some point, ford changed the part#. That is likely when they fixed the REAL ISSUE ( and not just a silly tune update ). No idea when that part# change happened though...

well that's good to hear. I appreciate all your investigative work into our cars.

Too bad I still don't live in Orlando. I lived there from 92 until 2006. Would be cool to have you close by. I used to be in Orlando DSM back in the late 90's early 2000's. The DSM group there was huge back in the day. I love florida

Those were the good ol days of street racing. I spend some time out in Orlando street racing back then, but most my time was spent in Tampa. Or when I pissed enough people off in Tampa, they would drive to me for a re-match, lol.

Ford changed the part# for the head?

Really like the head puzzle you made. That was sweet.

They changed the number on the end.
It was an "A", now it ends with "D".

New # ends with a D.

Before labor,
Figure $1,000 in parts.

Cylinder head #3,
Come on down !!

See why I'm wondering if the HPFP could be helping cause this issue?
Pump on top, and you can see where the crack used to be right below it

I don't see a crack on that one, is there? Is that one of the new castings?

Oh boy. Now I am paranoid. Tomorrow I'm gonna be busy.

I'm wondering if this would explain to occasional smell I detect whenever I go ham on the gas pedal.

My first new car and it turns out it might catch on fire. I have been having some rough luck man.

You're probably smelling exhaust. Do you have stock exhaust?

Interesting, could be something to do with the harmonics of the HPFP relative to its location on the head.

The smell I am getting shouldn't be exhaust. Well it could be?

I have the cobb catback.
is it supposed to smell like something is burning?
