Rota Titan, 17x7.5 or 17x8?

Same offset between the wheels but the photos I've seen of a member running 17x8 looks amazing but also like it miht rub when the car is dropped about an inch.
I will likely do coilovers but will not be slamming the car, at the most about a 1" drop, will the 8's be a good fit with a 215/40 tire or should I stick with the 7.5 and the stock tires?

I can say that 7.5 with a 215 will fit perfectly. That's the set up I have. 18x7.5 et +40 with 215/40/17. I'm lowered with mountune springs and wheels and tires are flush no rubbing.

I have rota grids 17x8 et. 40 with 215/40 tire and lower a little over a inch on swift springs. No rubbing besides one huge bump I went over.

I'm in the same boat, curious what did you decide on going with?
