Helping out a fellow local FiST owner. He has a bone stock 2015. A few mounths back he took a 2x4 into the intercooler. Damaging it but not puncturing it. He replaced the intercooler with another stock one (mine to be precise) and since then:
"I have a matco code reader it[Charged air temp circuit high or out of range codes] only happens once in a while but now it's happening every couple days . I cleared the codes but it's says it's permanent and won't let me clear , but it does turn the engine light off . I'm gonna take it in to get it looked at . I was just curious if it could be something stupid. I replaced my intercooler with the one I bought from you and the code still comes up .. all charge pipes are tight seems to be making boost..... does anyone know where the sensor is located ? The code also says bank 1"
I don't recall a sensor near the IC unless its the one in the air intake. Does sound like it is a loose connection but I really don't recall anything IC related removing the bumper cowl. I would dig under the car myself but I am at work. So hope the power of the forum can help him out.
PS yes I am asking him to join.
