R&D is in full swing here at the Velossa Tech headquarters where we're test fitting the latest iteration of the Fiesta ST BIG MOUTH Snorkel prototype.

Great idea:)

As long as in the air flow path it will work just fine but it does block quite a bit of radiator air flow which is hampered a great deal by the crash sensor beam which should be modded to help keep things cooler.

It would flow better if you flared the inlet more and round over the edges and could even be a bit smaller as looks pretty big.

I purposely offset mine to keep more air directly into the coolers and have a big flared inlet.

That should work, assuming it's above the blocked part of the grill. My car has the DHM crash bar in this pic, but you can see the left edge of the radiator where the snorkel is mounted.

Flared inlet you say? ;-)

These look pretty cool, definitely interested as well. Seems like you would get a lot cooler air into the airbox this way.

Thank you for the kind words!

The intent is to pressurize the airbox or at least reduce the vacuum work on the turbo/engine by using the stagnation pressure build up from the ram inlet.

IIRC, you have a Mishimoto Oil cooler kit on hand that you haven't installed yet. Can you take the oil cooler there and see if the snorkel will clear the oil cooler when mounted?

I would be very curios to see if this Intake Snorkel would help with CAI like the one I have from MAP and get more cold air into the engine bay. Subscribe to find out more.
