Mountune discontinued the chassis brace.

I was going to buy the Mountune chassis brace but they discontinued it.
I did not want to deal with lowering my ground clearance like all of the other chassis braces do. I understand many of you are happy with the chassis braces that lower your ground clearance. Even though many of you have also posted you hit your brace against objects I'm not willing to deal with that.
The Mountune chassis brace may not perform as well as the ones that connect to the control arm obviously, but it was a quality piece and unfortunately I can't get my hands on one. I sent them an email and they confirmed discontinued no plans to make it again.

Comparing the cost of these with the cost of the Mustang aftermarket k-members... Why hasn't someone just developed a complete aftermarket subframe? These braces stiffen primarily in one plane, and as mentioned can cause a loss of ground clearance. A properly designed k-member should be able to stiffen the whole structure while keeping ground clearance.

Bummer man sorry to hear. I'd chime in about how my Pierce bar never gave me any trouble and you're on the responsible side so I am sure you'd be careful...but I won't say more. You're right about DNA...not sure what their current stuff is like but I took a chance on a few of their products on my Toyota build a few years back and the quality was horrible, it was like getting parts for your cars in the "auto" section at Walmart. Maybe they're better now. But yeah that brace does look kind of puny.

I don't think it would interfere with my driving, but Typhoon posted about how the tow truck that grabs the vehicle by the tires would not work with that brace in place. Also someone mentioned about it getting caught on the lift at discount tire. I could easily live with both these things but I'm trying to build a car that doesn't really have any compromises.
I'm not impressed with DNA racing at all.
I appreciate the feedback on them the brace looks like it's stamped out of very thin material no fabrication whatsoever.

This was a Christmas gift I wanted.
I have since sent my Wife the links to
the Pierce mid-body brace to give me more clearance around the exhaust I need it, and also the trunk brace.
I know neither do much but the clearance around the exhaust would be nice, and I have heard the trunk brace helps settle some of the rattling in the back of the car that would be cool.

Have you looked at the TB Performance Torque Gusset? I'm looking into those myself, doesn't effect clearance, and it looks meaty enough. They have them on sale with the code BFF2019 for 20% off

Have you looked at the TB Performance Torque Gusset? I'm looking into those myself, doesn't effect clearance, and it looks meaty enough. They have them on sale with the code BFF2019 for 20% off

Remember scraping is not the only thing you have to worry about. You also have to think what type of tow truck can now pick up the car, and the car lifts discount tire uses and other tire shops will it catch on it.

I have the Pierce 4 point and have not had it catch or hit anything permanent (running stock height) including lifts at discount tire.

It does "ring" on ice chunks on the highway that drop from peoples mudflaps.

I put my car on the lift at discount with the 6 point. And eibach springs on it. Didnt have any problems. Its now mangled from a rock and going to be replaced.

I was looking at these before. combined with their four point front brace. The totals were going to be close to $600 shipped for everything. I am still considering their front brace as I am looking for a brace with clearance as everyone out here seems to catch rocks with the Pierce and other brands.

The only issue I've ever had with my Pierce 6 point has been with speed bumps. Additionally, I'm lowered and going over speed bumps at an angle instead of straight, at a low speed, almost always means that I don't rub/scrape.

Daily drivability has not been affected at all for me and the benefits of the brace cannot be overstated. The 6 point made a HUGE difference for me.

I've had the brace on the car for almost a year now and I pretty much daily drive the car. I've taken it in to the dealership and to other shops where it has needed to be lifted and have had no problems at all. I can't comment on the tow truck clearance, and hopefully it will stay that way.
I know that you're looking for alternatives, but I just want to add my name to the list of the problem-free Pierce 6 point owners.
