First Ford was a 6 year old 1956 Victoria hardtop, 292 4bbl, auto in Peacock Blue/Wimbledon White. My first NEW Ford was a 1965 Mustang Convertible, 289 4bbl, 4-speed, dual exhaust, Wimbledon White body w/white top and black interior...needless to say, I should have kept that one!

My first Ford was actually our family's old '78 Pinto station wagon. So, yeah. Never really thought I'd consider another Ford after that. But that was 26 years ago. Fords have definitely improved since then. But initial impressions still lingered. The ST changed all that. Now I'm recommending Fords to friends and family in the market for a new car.

I've always been a Import guy mainly Nissan and Toyota. When I was looking for my next car I decided to go smaller as most of today's compact cars have seemed to all gain weight and aren't really what I was looking for. I really couldn't find another four door this size even comparable to the Fist so Ford has recently won me over

My first Ford was a '69 Boss 302 Mustang I bought when I was in high school in 1975. I found it on a used car lot for $1,500 and was in excellent shape. I almost bought the '70 Boss 302 they were selling for $1,200 instead to save the $300 but that had higher mileage and wasn't in as good condition. Wish I could go back now and get them both.

My first car was a 2002 Mustang V6. Meh all around, but I did have some fun times in that pos. Sold it and bought a 2001 Cobra that I had up until trading it in on the Fiesta. I also have a 2005 Dodge Durango.

First Ford.

Before that has been mostly Toyota's and Nissan's. Ford caught my attention when they revamped their entire product line a few years ago as part of a new initiative sometimes back in 2010 or so. The Mustang V6 had 307hp and under $30K, the introduction of Ecoboost, use of direct injection, etc. They were really kicking it into high gear.

I was interested in the Focus ST at first, but then I realized it was still out of my budget here (over 290,000 RMB which is equivalent to $47K USD. Not to mention that the ergonomics didn't feel as comfortable. Then Fiesta ST showed up, and were getting rave reviews from all the major auto journalist. So I went and bought the car... without test driving it (you can't test drive imported cars here). Best decision ever made!

First ford, the last car is a mazda 3 (2004, so partially ford). Seeing as my Dad always called them Found On the Road Deads, it really surprised my Mom that I got one.
