Best budget coilovers for low?

Hey guys I'm looking for a set of coilovers on a budget. I'm looking to go lower since I'm on the h&r sport springs. What are the best budget coilovers for being low? I dont mind spending a bit of extra money for better quality but mainly looking for a cheaper set. I dont track the car or really do any curvy road driving. Itll mainly be for looks. If this is discussed somewhere else point me in the right direction. I appreciate the help!

Godspeed makes some they are cheap!

That's actually the set I was looking at and just didnt 100% make my mind up on em yet. I've read up on some sets already and have heard some good things about those ride wise height wise ect ect.

Sometimes I wish I could raise my car up for the winter driving here in Mn....it would make things less cringey when I drive in the snow!

Yeah man I'm taking the plunge soon. It doesn't snow much here in TN I just wanna be lower. I've grown sorta bored of the track stance look and wanna switch it up a bit without spending much in the process.

I had messaged Raceland on Instagram a couple months ago and they said they should be available early this coming year, so if you can hold out for that, that could be an option for you!

I've heard some bad things about raceland unfortunately. I've heard some good some bad and I dunno which to really follow lol. I'll have a good look into them though but I'm somewhat impatient and when I want something I want it asap so we will see lol.

I feel exactly the same. That's why I just cut the BS and bought a set of BC BR coilovers. Totally worth it.

What I'm gonna be doing with them to me spending that much on bc coils isnt worth it. I have nothing against the super expensive coils like that but I'd only get them if I'd be tracking the car at all and I wouldnt be. I never tracked it even with the h&r sport springs

Does anyone know what would have to be done to have a lower ride hide then normal? I've heard youd have to cut the bumper bracket on the fender a bit to fit. If so how much is needed to cut? Anything else I'd need to know of before I take the plunge?

What's your budget?

Here's a quick breakdown on my personal experience. Keep in mind my experience is with Subarus, Miatas and 240s.

Raceland - Local to me in SLC, UT. Hands down the worst coilover I've ridden on. Inconsistent valving so all 4 feel different. Most blow their seals in 1-3 years. They'll be seized after your first winter.

Godspeed - Better than Raceland but the valving is also super inconsistent.

BC - They were terrible about 8 years ago but they've really stepped up their quality in the last few years. Pre-load is set correctly from the box so all you need to do is set height. Ride quality is firm but not sharp (think THUD rather than PING). Decent for your weekend warrior who wants to lower their car a bit.

ISC - Literally the same thing as BC. They used to be made in the same factory, but idk if that has recently changed with the newly improved quality.

ST - KW's low end line. They're fine. KW is a fan boy brand that is over hyped. I personally wouldn't buy them. For the price you're a few hundred away from a set of Ohlins.

Megan Racing - Lesser quality than BC and ISC but generally the same thing. Expect them to seize quickly.

Bilstein - Second most comfortable coilover I've ridden on. They make a bunch of OEM struts so you can trust their quality. The B14 PSS for our car is a decent coilover for the buck. Hard part is their almost always out of stock and it takes months to get the coilovers.

No to thread jack, but:
What all is needed to purchase extra for the B14's to be a direct drop in? Just the front strut top hats and the piece that connects the rear shock to the frame at the top? I'd love to get them and just quickly swap out my old suspension without having to compress the front springs to remove the top hat. Just not sure what the extra cost involved would be to get all the pieces for it be a quick drop in

I have a set of b14s for regular fiestas awaiting install. For drop in install you need front top mounts, front strut bearings, rear strut brackets and dust boots/bump stops all around. They also recommend using the OEM rear strut bolt vs bilsteins to avoid potential noise/rubbing.

I have had my B14 PSS on for 20k miles and the ride has improved it is still a tad bit stiff. I’d like to know what the softest setting on the BC BR series coilovers feels like.

I roll full soft in winter. I run 17" stocks in the winter and it's comfortable enough if I'm running lower tire pressures (32psi f and r). I actually prefer the ride quality on my race setup (8 clicks from hard front, 4 clicks from hard rear) because I'm on 16" wheels. Going down a size drastically increases ride quality. The stock rubberbands just have no flex.
