It's very easy to overcome an LSD with too much low end torque. Stiffen the rear suspension to limit squatting, run stickier tires or consider boost by gear if you don't want to feather the throttle.

Yeah, they aren't a cure-all, but after bigger, stickier tires I think the Quaife was one of the best mods I've done for improving autocross times. You can still overpower the wheels, but it is so much easier to modulate the throttle and maintain traction than without it.

This. Also all season tires are a major compromise. Not one I'd ever make on a performance car. Summer set and a winter set.
ledzz might be running the SUMMER Pilot Sport 4, which we do not get here.

Everyone here just takes for granted that any Pilot Sport in that OEM size MUST BE the all season one, since that is all Michelin allows us to have here.

what tire/tyre is the OP referring to that approximates to a tire we have here? Is it more similar to pilot super sports or the 4S?

Short of getting a custom tune to cut boost or torque in first and second, traction is going to be an issue for sure. Right now have Cobb ots tune, stage something or another. Not a huge fan of all that torque but appreciate added power.
I think I've done most parts that would increase traction. LSD, 200 tw tires (dunlop z3), TB bracing all around, spherical/solid & polyu bushings, upgraded tranny, rmm, passenger mount, a well sorted out meister coilover setup after some experimentation with stiffer springs and softer dampening. Still torque steer is pretty bad and 2nd gear difficult to use at track events. Hoping to get 235 or 245 width tires to fit later this year, but doubt that'll do much.

Those who fail to understand that having an LSD will dramatically improve traction need to think about the physics and weight transfer involved.
Not being at least offered a limited slip diff as an option right from the factory for extra co$t, let alone having it standard, was THE biggest drawback/negative for me when purchasing this car (and that's even given just how much everyone knows how much I wish we could have had a 2 door version of our rides!). [wink]

I'm sure this car with an LSD would be better, but my experience with an overpowered FWD car with an LSD was overall underwhelming. It doesn't help with torque steer, and still blew the tires off in 1st, 2nd, and part of 3rd.

I believe the refined traction control options that tuners offer on the Fist is the best overall option for putting power down regardless of your mods.

I would also get the Summit 4 point if I was in your shoes., I have it on my car. I can say that my Falken RT660ā€˜ stick and do not allow nearly as much wheelspin as my Federal RS Proā€™s did. This being with a Turbo Technics S280.

Of course I am with Tune+ now on the tunes and Adam does tune it so it does not have as much of a mad crazy torque bump in the bottom end. The previous tune I had was more like that.

Not getting an lsd for that reason mate

I had solved the majority of my traction control issues. The biggest difference that was almost always overlooked, was alignment settings. This easily fixed the majority of my traction control issues off the bat, and the car handled much better.
try:
-DNA adjustable control arms in addition to other adjustable suspension parts. Measure your suspension parts and calculate the new alignment settings.
-Wide, sticky summer tires. I used to have a separate set of rims that I swapped to when it got cold or rainy. Had to significantly roll to the fenders in order to get the larger tire to fit.
-High end, corner balanced coilovers with stiff enough spring rates w/ compression and rebound adjusted properly
-Properly setup clutch-type LSD
-Tune adjustments, reduce the torque peak in low rpms, or limit boost in certain gears (1-2)
-Stiffer engine mounts and RMM

I have the 6pt brace but installed it alongside many other mods at the same time, so I'm not sure what difference it had. Subframe stiffness/control arm mount bracing is beneficial in almost all cases, so I see few downsides. If the chassis is too flexible, because of our MacPhearson strut design the alignment can change while under hard cornering or accelerating.

Have ordered a 6 point to go with my new lsd to be all nstalled in 2 weeks thankyou
Pierce 6-point brace on my car, helped with grip a little bit, didnt help with height under car though lol, and helped the most in corners IMO.
