Well well.. Seems the replacement front shocks are bad.. others online having the same problem I am. If ford replaced them under parts warranty the new ones will be just as crap and too soft and bouncy..

Just bought some coil overs today, take about 2 weeks to arrive.

Should be a recall on those front shocks. I could try get my money back but I doubt I would get anywhere.

I got NOS Stock shocks for a 15' with type R springs currently on mine. No bounce whatsoever....no soft ride. 16's and up have different shock and strut valving = softer ride ...Bouncier ride.

Did a throttle body clean today.. wasn't as hard as I was expecting.

Just undone the hose clamp on throttle body, undone the mounting to the engine for the hard plastic lower tube and clamp, unplugged sensor and vacuum line, disconnected sound symposia tube, pushed the whole thing carefully out the bottom.

Pumped half a can of throttle body cleaner up into the butterfly valve and gave it a good rub with a clean rag and then just sprayed the rest of the can in.

Made the engine go a lot better. First time in 108,000km.

I got my MFactory LSD installed at Surgeline, the local shop. Also got it aligned which it really needed. Also filled with E30 and datalogged my first E30 tune revision with Tune+ on my Whoosh Hybrid. I've been waiting on all this since early July, it all came together today. I also did some quick simple autocross laps in a C8. It was a good day.

For about the fourth time, I locked myself out of the car. Thankfully, I have roadside w/Ford and another roadside svc. No hidden key for the car or house.

I got out to take these new-to-me wheel pics at Costco... lol

Well @M-Sport fan , how do you like the white on grey NOW? "Prismatic - Pearl Sparkle" I will take some sunny-side pics when I get home...

EDITED: Sunny-side up pics added.

How do you lock yourself out of the car? Just push the button on the outside of the door handle if the key fob is locked inside the car.

Wheels look great.

How do you lock yourself out? Could’ve sworn mine won’t let me lock the keys in but maybe I’m delusional.

Thanks. I asked the Ford service mgr and he said it happens all the time. The amount of time the key sits idle does not affect pressing the dash button and getting out, only approaching it.
Do a test at home. Have the physical key pulled out and ready to use. Let me know your results. Mine is a 2019.

I take a physical key to work with me as that's where it happened last and it's a secure area. More trouble to have a visitor come in than it's worth.

Omg, I never thought to try that! Thanks!

But seriously @Ford ST , if you are under the 45 second timeout AND the fob can be detected, you don't even have to press the handle button. The horn honks twice, just like tpms learning. Pull the handle, it's not even locked. I suggest you try it out so you are more familiar with the smart key and it's not so smart limitations.

I did some tests and the 45 second timer inside the smart key DOES affect whether you get locked out or not.

Under 45 secs, placement does matter. If it isn't detected, you will get locked out.
Over 45 secs, placement of the fob doesn't matter. You will get locked out!

Try it yourself... put it on the rear seat floor, trunk area, even the driver seat bottom where it meets the the seat back. There I got mixed results under 45 secs. Sometimes it honked, sometimes it doesn't.

Like the service mgr said, it happens all the time.

I never have this problem because it’s always in my pocket.[emoji41]

What I love is the fact that if you double lock the car there is no way to unlock it even from inside the car. I tried it out and the "lock/unlock" button on the dash is disabled..

I haven't yet tried to see if it disables a key fob that's in the car when being locked by the other key fob from outside the car tho...
