I know most everyone dumps on this turbo but I had it before the s280 was released and only just recently installed it in January of this year. Overall I'm pleased with it and figured some others might be interested in an actual dyno pull to see how it does.

My mods include:
Mountune intake
Mountune crossover pipe
Velossatech big mouth
Whoosh extrude honed manifold
Whoosh 3in catted downpipe
GReddy 3in exhaust
Mountune turbosmart BOV
Whoosh V3 intercooler

These runs were done in 4th gear. Ambient temps were around mid 80's so charge temps most likely hit 100 on the pulls with some humidity being down here in Miami, FL
Tuned on 93oct peak boost hits 29psi at 4k tapering down to around 25psi by redline
Overall I knew it would change the driving dynamics since it spools later than stock of course but it's nice not to blow the tires off in 3rd gear. 2nd gear willl still blow the tires off of course. It pulls hard and keeps pulling all the way to redline.

I should have posted these before but, here are some snippets of final data logs I did on my final revision showing how much boost and at what RPM. Obviously below 3k it's nothing exciting but, the way my tune is set up, driveability is just fine with plenty of torque. I don't see any need for more sub 3k, if I need to punch it I just downshift a gear. Boost is shown on the far left and RPM on the right. I am interested in doing an e30 tune with fuel pump and injectors just out of curiosity. Am I expecting S280 numbers? No, of course not but for the sake of science it would be interesting to see.:D

I see you have no fuel mods are you going further with the build? What hot side and cold side piping are you using?

No fuel mods yet but I do plan on getting an e30 tune but to make it a once and done deal, I'll wait until I can get the XDI fuel pump and injector combo which are kinda pricey. Once I do and get it tuned, I'll take it back to the dyno and post results.

All piping is just standard Mountune stuff with the OEM cold side.

Ok cool, I'm building with the same turbo, I was just curious as to what you had done.

Mountune hot side pipe is sweet.

Logs look good. Some turbo lag and pushing the power band far to the right doesn’t bother me at all. 265whp in this car is a blast

Considering we have a tropical monsoon climate down here, I can't complain. If I'm feeling like I'm in a sauna year round down here, I can only imagine how my little bean feels  Now that fall and winter are around the corner, this thing feels really nice!

I would say if you keep this turbo within it's boost threshold which is around 3.5k and up, lag is very minimal and it spools fairly quick to me. Took me a while to relearn how to drive this car, but, now that I know where to keep the RPM's, it's really not that bad as people make it out to be IMO and I honestly don't miss the donkey kick torque.
