Regarding inner door seam corrosion, have some bubbling on the passenger front door and some minor paint flaking inside hatch bottom (where caulk is?). After visiting a paint shop and them advising take it to ford sooner than later and get it fixed on warranty (19515 miles, 2019). Made an appt with ford dealer, they said they would digital image and submit to ford. I really didn't want ford touching this car but doesn't seem like these shops can do anything outside of replacing the door and repainting. Taking it in on the 26th and waiting for it.

Seen it somewhere that it may be easier to get it covered under the 3 yr 36k warranty vs the 5 yr corrosion which requires perforation.??

Yes, Ford totally denied my door seam bubbling on the 5 year rust THROUGH warranty (even though they did approve, and fully refinish/repaint my roof and antenna rust bubbling) since it was not as bad as some on here have (no flaking off with exposed rust like they had) even with newer rides. [:(] [mad]

Regretting spending money with tune plus. What a d bag.
This actually puts it into a perspective I can speak to. Once fully closed the preload nut would then need (4) full turns to reach the recommended (4mm) preload. I think I got this. The visual made more clear. Thank you.
So I emailed my tuner to confirm 4 turns for the whoosh hybrid with the Tune plus wastegate and basically got a smart ass answer explaining that 4mm is a measurement and not turns. I reminded him I watched his youtube video where he literally uses "turns" to describe setting the mm. Of course he didn't reply back to that. Its a shame I wasted 350 on a lifetime tune with that d bag. Oh well Id rather cut my losses than deal with someone like that.

I'll def be taking my business there. I grabbed my accessport through him originally with a flash bundle deal. I look forward to seeing his custom tunes with the mani, hybrid and downpipe. This winter cant end fast enough.

He tuned my S280/Airtec manifold combo on 93. Going for a local Dyno tune with a different tuner in the spring once I get the injectors and hpfp installed with some ethanol.

I also got to this point with him and abandoned tuning. Went with Jason @ Dizzy. No regrets whatsoever other than the $ wasted to learn that lesson.

Tuning with someone local or live dyno tuning with another e-tuner?

Realized today my whoosh hybrid came with the airtec silicone turbo elbow which likely does not work with the Cobb carbon intake without some creative jimmying. Deciding on whether to sell the airtec elbow and grab the whoosh ss elbow OR sell the Cobb intake and grab the aFe Takeda. Decisions decisions.

Maybe possible that I can omit the last portion of silicone from the Cobb kit IF the carbon portion reaches far enough to mate up to the airtec silicone.

I did not buy the Cobb Redline Carbon kit because their angle hose necks down to 2.5 for the stock turbo inlet. My S280 is 2.75 and it came with a short adapter for 2.75 to 2.5 which is what I used temp to connect to the Whoosh reduction hose that came with my Whoosh crossover but it’s not ideal. I will actually be getting a short piece of 2.75 piping to attach to the s280 elbow hose and and a 3inch to 2.75 regular short elbow to go to the Cobb CARB non Carbon Intake so I will have a gradual reduction to 2.75 instead of a big reduction to 2.5 and then back up to 2.75.

If someone could find a 3.o to 2.75 long elbow hose like the 3.0 to 2.5 elbow on the Cobb Redline Carbon I would reconsider getting it. As it is it seems a hard fix due the length and shape of the Cobb hose.

In the process of assembling whoosh hybrid with the waste gate, and fresh boost solenoid and manifold. Earlier I was discussing setting preload and tune + dickhead response. Well right in the instructions...turbosmart spells it out simply as far as number of turns into mm. With the tune plus waste gate he recommends 4mm.
My arp hardware finally showed up, it was the final pieces to this project.

I'm sure I'll be on here verifying the actuator hoses are correct even if I know they are correct.

Im not an old hand at this but i also got a good vibe from Dizzy. I bought a Strat e30 tune first but later wanted to try one from Dizzy. Not only do i like the throttle mapping more, they also had far more detail in the question form like what is the elevation where i live. This suggested to me they are more sophisticated in their tuning than many others i looked at, including Stratified. I'll stick with Dizzy from here on.

100%. Jason is the man. Alex at Stratified tuned my mazdaspeed6 though and I have nothing but good things to say about him.

Yes i don't have anything bad necessarily to say about Stratified, but the Dizzy tune was cheaper, has a much more manageable throttle map, and seems to have a smoother and longer tq curve. That's personal preference though so others may like the opposite. The Stratified throttle map was fun, push a little and it just charges forward, but boy do the tires pay the price in 1st and 2nd.

Thinking about this combo for brakes.
They aren't too terrible but the rear rotors are starting to show some rings towards the outside rotor face. Will use the hardware kits from Ford and lube the pins good.

After deciding not to part ways with my Cobb intake, I decided to give 2 options a try.
(In regards to Cobb intake not mating with airtec elbow)

First I bought a whoosh ss elbow as this will work. But before resorting to that I picked up a 2.5" to 2.75" coupler. While meant for exhaust it appears quality 304 ss. It's not beveled like some of the pieces I found but couldn't find one purpose built beveled for what I need but I'm thinking it wouldn't be hard for a machine shop to bevel the edges for clamping silicone elbows to.
This would allow what I would like, the Cobb AND Airtec usage. If I have to resort to the old whoosh elbow, I will use the gasket that came with the airtec.
