I run the Rays from Evasive as my daily driver, almost year round fasteners on my Dekagrams.
(Styling benefit; the logo color almost exactly matches the Konig bronze color as well, for those with that shade Dekagrams. LOL)

Pretty much indestructible, never a problem with them, being steel vs. alloy, (as much as everyone on here will dispute that, even for salt soup area winter use), and the coating holds up over time and abuse as well. [wink] [thumb]

They will also fit into very tight lug 'pockets' sooo popular amongst many aftermarket wheel manufacturers nowadays (UNLIKE the 19mm varieties), just in case you ever decide to 'upgrade'.

I DO like the aesthetics of the Goodwin product though, and if they were steel, instead of alloy, and offered in a 17mm hex version, would probably have a set of them. [wink]

I use Muteki open ended lugs nuts. Also good deals on Amazon for McGard acorn lug nuts, that's probably the most common around these parts.

Thanks for the input. I’m looking for closed and black in color. I’m ok with spending around $100.

I have these McGard spline drive lug nuts in chrome with a blue cap, and like them a lot. Here is the black version at Summit Racing, which has what looks like a good price on them-
https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mcg-65357bk

The finish is durable, they aren't scratched at all, and they have the advantage that M-Sport fan mentioned above of fitting in the narrower lug openings of aftermarket wheels like my Pro Race 1.2s. I believe they fit the stock wheels too. When I was looking into getting them, I found a number of members on the forum here had them and recommended them.
You're definitely doing the right thing by replacing the stock ones. If you are not aware of this they are two piece and can corrode and swell up so that it becomes very difficult to get a lug wrench on them.

Thanks for the input. I think I’m heading more to a basic 19 or 17mm removal versus having to have a specific key for all the lugs. No worries about theft in my area.

I use the silver version of these lug nuts and just ordered another set as they have came back Into stock again. Light and very tasty lug nut choice I might add...love my current set but like having extra so when the tire goons muck one up I have extra.

The McGards are totally BOMBPROOF, but they will not allow an even thin-walled socket to fit in some aftermarket wheel's lug 'pocket' without scratching the paint off, being 19mm hex. [:(]

I did use them in the black chrome color when I still had the OEM wheels, and still use them on my winter/rally Method wheels. [wink]

AGREED, as I never liked the splined stuff, even though everyone else on here seems to be in love with them.

Truthfully, IF you never ever plan on aftermarket wheels, I would just go for the 19mm McGards in chrome, or black chrome, use a thin wall socket, and be done with it. [:)]
They are perfect for the factory wheels, and you will not find anything stronger, or more durable.

That black coating* and coatings in general always start to flake....I've tried multiple lugs and achieved no success from not chipping. So now I just go with silver....No flaking/chipping of color! Just a nugget of info to take in when buying colored lugs.

Just placed my order for the Good-win in black. Old hot rod trick is to use a freezer ziplock piece between the lug nut and wrench as to not remove any coloring on a lug.
