Mk 7 Fiesta 1.6ST Cambelt change

Hi forum members

I'm about to change the cambelt on my 2014 Fiesta ST.

Having seen sone YouTube tutorials can anyone tell me if the driveshaft has to be removed to get the crankshaft locking pin inserted. Some videos show the driveshaft being removed to gain access but other video's ( non ST) show the locking pin being inserted without the need to remove the drive shaft.
Any advice is greatly appreciated
