uneven disc wear on rear brakes

That’s a bit odd rotor wear pattern. How new are the pads and rotors? Slots and holes will cause some initial strange wear but should even out. Are the pads worn evenly inside to outside?
Standard things to check:
- Slider Pins
- Nub engagement with inner piston notch (piston rotation)
- pad spring centered on caliper (not one end caught up in the center hole

I can see where this could happen if you do spirited driving, turn more to one side when doing so, and don't turn off the ESC.
The ESC intervenes when it determines that the angle of the steering does not match the yaw of the car by applying brake on the (I think) inside rear wheel to tighten up the corner, so if you turn harder to the left when "hooning" that would cause the driver's side to wear more.
Just a thought.

Wore out my rear brake pads well ahead of my front. If you're on the gas out of corners, ABS based torque vectoring will be in play. If you're changing direction or entering a corner aggressively, electronic stability control may be in play. Translation is, you'll be burning through some rear pads. Basically they're under-sized given the level intervention that the nannies wish to incorporate.

Regarding the wear issue, after heating the brakes up, your caliper slide mounts are seizing. After cool down, they'll brake loose. You also need to make sure that your pads were correctly installed. There's a notch for the piston and pad that must be aligned during installation. The pad will be cocked a bit, if not.
