As the title says I just did a new rear motor mount. The car has been nearly stock for the last 7 years of ownership. While doing maintenance, struts, both belts and other stuff in that mode of operation. I decided to a vibra-technics fast road rear motor mount. On a whim. Not really a whim a rrm has been on my radar since the first few days of ownership. I had no complaint about the old mount besides it being as not stiff as it was designed to be. I found good reviews for the mount. While it's bearable the drone, especially when the ac is running will totally cancel out most of my stock stereo. The radio is stock, I like the stock stereo. I can't tell if it's making any bass going down the highway or freeway. Especially with the ac on. Heck sitting still with the ac on it drones out. The radio still works, I checked. At slow speeds with the climate off I can hear the radio decent.
I took me several days to get the timing belt done. All that while the passenger mount was off with the engine being supported with a jack I did crank the motor up and down with the jack to get to some things.
Am I having a normal experience for a new rmm? Or is there possibly something wrong going on? The car has had 500 or so miles. I'm trying to sort the car for a trip. And at this point I may put the stock mount back in. It's going to be a long trip if listing to the stereo is not enjoyable. Any input would be appreciated. I didn't expect nearly as much drone as I'm getting. Stock exhaust still too.
