    Time for tires again

Ok, wow was not expecting this much discussion, sorry for being absent. If I'm paying $180 per tire it had better be a summer tire. Realistically, my budget would probably max out around $120 per tire plus install fees (~$500-$600 installed), I've been pretty happy with my Kumho Ecsta PS31s...

    Time for tires again

Wanted to gauge the community and see if anyone has suggestions, I'll be replacing my tires in the next 5-8 months and I like to plan waaaaay in advance since tires are arguably the most important performance component of a car. Unless I walk into a sudden windfall of cash, I'll remain on the OE...

A good watch, Tubular manifold vs Stock

Dang now I wish I could go find pretty stainless steel intake and exhaust manifolds to imagine buying

    First hpde.

I'd imagine that upgraded radiator would be a must for tracking in 90F weather. That said, if you don't touch the IC you're inherently limiting the power your motor will develop and that should put less of a burden on the cooling system. So it may very well be a if you do one you may as well get...

Vibra-Technics Rear Motor Mount and why polyurethane bushings might be a bad decision

Ok so one weekday commute down, the VT competition mount hasn't bothered me yet, but ask me again on friday. Ambient temps were in the mid-50s (morning) to high 60s (afternoon), so nothing too cold. It got a little damp in the afternoon as some fog rolled into SF. Altogether a pretty typical...

Vibra-Technics Rear Motor Mount and why polyurethane bushings might be a bad decision

I know the stock RMM gets a lot of hate, but honestly it isn't a terrible option especially when you consider durability. You can also throw in those powerflex inserts, although those are made of urethane too, but at least when they deform your entire mount hasn't failed.

    Turbo whine

3 psi is a notable drop, that said boost pressure will vary based on ambient conditions and what your wastegate is setup to allow. I'm assuming that you haven't altered anything with the wastegate so its possible that there were some other metrics that limited boost, do you have a handheld tuner...

3 things I think are necessary for your fist

Same boat, still gets plenty warm here in NorCal and I've never once had an issue with the OEM radiator. I do change my coolant every 3 years or so so perhaps that helps? I should definitely swap to a more efficient intercooler, but that's on my list for the future, if ever. Outside of that I'm...

Things we all worry about- When other people have our car.

I mean it's a dying skill, I absolutely take any chance to keep it alive by sharing it. It's not like these cars are known to have fragile clutches and they're not super expensive to repair or buy so I spread the love as often as I can. I love my car, and while its precious to me I still want to...

Vibra-Technics Rear Motor Mount and why polyurethane bushings might be a bad decision

Whoosh RMM bushings after ~16k miles Polyurethane bushings deformed, I assume due to heat since they are mostly intact but no longer hold themselves snuggly into the mount frame or hold on to the little spacers/sleeves that go through the mount. In the video you can see the rear sleeve is...
