Sell the ST or Mustang GT?

Well my decision may surprise you but I got rid of both cars. I was upside down on the ST and had equity in the GT- lots. I was favoring keeping the GT but paying CarMax to take the ST off my hands did not seem like a good option and I did not want to mess with selling them on my own. And the...

    Rescue from rust

I for sure know what you mean about rust, winter road salt and chemicals as I am from Massachusetts and lived 2 years in MN. Massachusetts is also bad with road salt but MN is even worse. The salt eats cars so bad- the undercarriage, suspension components, brake rotors, you name it. They salt...

Did my first track day, sharing my experience

Nice- to even be on a track with a WRX and what appears to be a Miata out there is pretty impressive.

Done building my new to me FiST.....for now.

Wow you have done a lot of work to it and at a considerable expense. I am at a cross roads that I need to down size in cars and considering trading the 18 Mustang GT and FIST for something directly in between. I need more acceleration- not as much as the GT but more than the FIST. Considering...

Is the FIST your most reliable car?

In my case I have 3 cars and my 2017 FIST has been the best. No issues at all after 1 year of ownership. I have had to change the wipers as soon as I got it (they chattered badly), the front brake pads due to excessive brake dust, standard oil changes and tire rotations. No squeaks, rattles...

What "fees" do I have to pay a dealer to buy a new car?

Dealer fees and taxes vary from state to state and dealership to dealership. Some charge no fee and I have seen it as high as $1100 just for you to buy a car from them. Then there are other "doc" fees, registration and taxes also- some paid at the time of purchase, some paid at a later date...

How do you guys get such good mileage?

I am not sure about the fuel injection. It had the 2.0 engine, not the 2.5 gas hog- which my 2011 had. The STI's still use the 2.5 engine. I would stay away from one like the plague. I traded my 2016 for my ST. I like the ST way better.
  8. Q

How do you guys get such good mileage?

You also have to keep it out of boost. I had a 2016 WRX 6 speed manual I bought brand new that I also got really good gas mileage with. I averaged over 32 MPG with it and on one trip I got a real 40 MPG, going a steady 70 MPH on the highway, flat road, no wind, light traffic with CC on...

What is the "deal" on Ford "0%" financing?

They offer 0% for a reason- it's an advertising ploy to get you in. It means you need perfect credit to qualify for the 0%, terms may be only 24 months and you do not get the rebate(s) and/or discounts and pay near full sticker price for the vehicle. Way, way better to get as many rebates and...

How do you guys get such good mileage?

I average 39.8 but my commute is mostly off the main highway, 2 and 3 lane roads 55 MPH with a few stops. Aside from a few romps on the gas to burst out or away from bad drivers, I mostly drive with a light right foot, take offs are steady and easy and use CC a lot. My mileage goes down from...
