Quick update, when I traded in my FiST for a my Golf I transferred my Katana's from my FiST Euro projectors over... Funny, it's the opposite than the FiST, the low beam needs an adapter if you don't want to use buy expensive VW proprietary power connector type H7's and the headlights are a bitch...
It's not really about the overall heat, but LED's are FAR more sensitive to any heat than halogen... and many LED's actually do use 50w+ now like the highly rated DSM tuning...
THIS is the eBay one, it is either an exact clone or unbranded production run of one offered by PumaSpeed UK, which also has a 3 row option that even with shipping ($472 total) are price competitive so not sure why they are not mentioned more...
Well, there WAS an exact clone of the 3 row Mishimoto but without the included fan shroud and needed your own petcock valve too for $256 free shipping from US stock and I ordered one, but never installed it. I traded the car in and returned the radiator and now no longer even offered, though it...
Well, I traded my car in back in mid-June but was just checking in... yeah, on the early ones with thinner front sway bar and rear beam, those upgrades help even more!
Yep, BTW, everything was installed perfectly and it took some time and miles to start having issues, but stayed away after clearing the codes right before trading it in! :)
I left the LED drivers outside the housing for best heat dissipation with LED's sensitive to heat, I don't use rear housing caps and never had any issues with moisture. For high beams I just used LED's with internal drivers, you could always use TechMax or others that have internal drivers...
You just "stuff" those loose connectors from the bulbs into the stock connector in the "-" and "+" side of the connector where it's touching metal in there... To mount, what you do is take off the bulb ring, use the holders to mount them into place in the housing, then feed the bulb through and...
