Fifteen52 Fender Flares what can I fit?

Found this one too. This seems to be the closest I could find to your setup. Stock suspension I'd go ahead and say 215/45 is a safe tire. 225/35 would probably be fine as well, but you'd be shortening your already short gear ratios with the smaller profile.
I really appreciate the input!

Personally I'd recommend the 215/45 because the larger size would result in lower wtq and have more contact than stock, so you'd be putting more down in a straight line, while still having improved lateral grip over stock. If you're more interested in lateral grip than keeping traction by all means use the 225/35, but know that your gears would be shorter and you'll be more likely to break traction

Found these wheels made for a Mustang cobra. The only difference in specs from what Fifteen52 recommended to me is 3mm more offset. Took a long time to hunt down a well priced wheel with the right measurements, so I'm very glad to be done! I think this will look great on the FiST as well, despite being designed for a muscle car.

We offer a full package on our website with our fury flares and wheels that fit perfectly.. just saying [emoji6] we run 17X9” ET8 with a 245/35/17 Toyo R1R tire and it works quite well

Would a 245/45/16 ET40 fit with your flares?

looks like a great setup, just didn't find it until after I purchased the fifteen52 ones. I'm guessing yours go wider since you use less offset than was recommended for me to use

Why can't any company come up with a flare that doesn't require this extensive body modification? Coming from vw mk2's, we've been putting flares on with doublesidded tape and screws for years

As far as I know you don't have to cut anything to fit the flare, but those people in the thread had to cut it because they are putting rims and tires that are super wide compared to stock.

If you don't cut the fenders, the flares are esthetic only, once you cut them, you can fit big tires under there.

I'm following that thread closely as I'm planning to also go with a 17x8 to fit 245 or 235 tires under there.

fifteen52 has the "semi" flares that are available in stick on or bolt on - the price is the same for either option
the material choices are FRP or Carbon Fiber

M2 Motoring also has full wheel flares that are bolt on

both options are in stock and available on the whoosh motorsports site

the M2 option has been very popular in the past few weeks
I'm down to 2 sets left in stock. M2 is producing more but I;m not sure when they will be ready. Could be 2-4 weeks....

I'm actually planning on using a 17x9 rim with et15-20. I've seen 245s, but I'm not sure what the camber was, so I'll start on 235s to be conservative

Waiting to get the flares installed first, but my plan is to use these rims and tires

https://www.americanmuscle.com/17x9-2003-cobra-4lug-black.html

https://www.tirerack.com/tires/tire...7HTRZ2V2&vehicleSearch=false&fromCompare1=yes

I'm already using the HTRZ2s in the stock size and I love them. great value with a lot of tread, unlike the stock potenzas. They grab a lot better going forwards, but the Potenza definitely held better on the turns.

Having just purchased the rims, I'm now looking more into the tires. I'm set on the Sumitomos, but they are available in both 235 and 245.

WillTheyFit says "Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 3.6mm further away from the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 54.4mm more than before."

The new rim specs are 17x9 with an ET +18. For either width of tire it shows that the sidewalls will slant inwards and be further from the strut tower than the stock tire. I know that different companies measure differently, and the website is a rough estimate of what the tire will actually look like, so I'm not sure if I want to stay safe with the 235, or go for the 245 for maximum grip. Anyone have input on clearance with the struts?
