GRC is coming to Seattle (actually Monroe) in September. There is a non-factory GRC Fiesta (no full on factory support this year for any Fords) driven by Steve Arpin that is very much still in it for the driver's championship. I pinged Arpin's FB page the other day about maybe having a meet and greet in Seattle and "he" pointed to a PR/media contact, suggesting he wanted to do it: JGRmedia@gmail.com

Might help motivate them if you all "flood" that email for a possible event/car corral. I sent a note and a followup.

I'll let you frame your note anyway you want, but here are the particulars:
  • Objective: meet and greet with Steve Arpin before the GRC Seattle event and a Ford ST./RS car corral in the parking area for the two days.
  • Likely location: A dealership, like this VW thing with Foust and Speed: https://www.facebook.com/events/242831126207371
If you are connected to any other ST/RS groups that might be interested in these possible events, share the idea with them.

Also: Might be interesting to know if any of you expect to go. I'm planning to attend at least one day (it's a double-event race weekend); a track day pal with a '16 Focus ST will join. Chime in here if you do.

I would be up for a meet, I have never missed a GRC round in WA since the very first one at dirtfish with the giant gap jump.

Will be attending the race for sure. Also formula drift is in Aug, and that event is sick.

I assume Friday is more for practice/setup and Saturday/Sunday is actually race days? Any idea what time the races usually happen?
