2 Ford Fiesta ST Rally Cars to compete in Rally-America's 4th STPR in Wellsboro, PA.

Brothers Anthony and John Concha are proud to announce their entry in the Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally (STPR) in Wellsboro, Penn on May 30-31. The brothers consider STPR their home event, though they were raised and currently work in Philadelphia.

The Concha brothers have traditionally piloted Fords at STPR the last couple of years using the Ford Focus ZX3 and the Ford Fiesta SE as their rides of choice. The Fords helped the brothers gain valuable experience working with a single make while learning how to drive faster on the rally roads.

Ford has a rich history and heritage in rally racing. Therefore it was an easy transition from their current stable of Ford rally cars into 2014 Ford Fiesta ST models to debut at this year’s STPR. The Ford Fiesta ST is already being campaigned by fellow Ford drivers, Ken Block and Andrew Comrie-Picard, who already enjoy this fantastic platform

"Racing is a dream of ours. With hard work and dedication this has become a reality for us," said Anthony.

The Concha brothers commissioned Broken Motorsports, located in Union City, New Jersey, to build their Ford Fiesta ST’s into rally ready machines. The owner Billy Petrow is well known and respected in the rally scene in building phenomenal racecars, so it was a “no-brainier” to collaborate with the local tri-state talent.

The Ford Fiesta ST’s used for this project are almost directly off the showroom floor. When the build began, one car had less than 300 miles and the other less than 1000 miles. When these cars were purchased they already had a set destiny to be stripped, caged and prepped into rally cars.

But who would do something like this? These guys must be crazy? Do that to a brand new car? These are the comments both brothers heard on a daily basis from friends and family. The team’s response is one that focuses on their passion for the sport: "The thing is people who really understand racing, people who have motorsports in their veins, will understand and appreciate the beauty of this project. We’re not in rally to become rich or famous… we are here to test man against machine."

For STPR, the teams have partnered with great organizations, but as of right now the brothers only have STPR on their 2014 schedule. Their ideal goal is to run the entire season, and they are currently looking to fund their 2015 season to run in the Two-Wheel Drive national championship.

“We feel that our cars will be competitive in the class and if we can acquire the proper funding our potential is unlimited,” said Anthony.

As the STPR race weekend approaches, the Concha teams are making last adjustments, testing, and making sure everything is up to par. This year the teams will be supported by Raul Romero as crew chief. Raul comes to the States from Ecuador and has vast experience in rally as a co-driver and crew person. Eric Weitzmann from Philadelphia will be the head mechanic for the teams during race weekend

JSC Speed will be prominently positioning on the Tuning Velocity Motorsports and John Concha Motorsport’s Ford Fiesta ST rally cars during Rally America’s fourth round, the Susquehannock Trail Performance Rally on May 30-31, 2014.
