The price tag. I really wanted an ND RF, but the price was $10,000 higher, plus ford had $3,000 more in rebates. Got the car for $7,000 below window sticker price. Test drove it and immediately fell in love. Its fast, practical, comfortable, and a darn good price.

I was set on a Focus ST. Excitement, power, looks, price, aftermarket support. The managers were 'doing the numbers' on a FoST for me and the sales guy asked if I wanted to test drive an RS and FiST in the meantime. The RS was pretty cool but felt tame(slow?) around town. It was too expensive too. The FiST had me smiling from the second I pulled out of the lot. The torque surge down low makes it feel fast and it's 'huck-me-into-a-turn-as-fast-as-you-dare' personality made me happy in ways I never thought a car could. Poor sales guy lost his FoST sale and I got a warrantied used FiST 1 week later.

I wanted something fun to drive yet still able to fit surfboards and bikes. I was shopping a Golf R, GTI (DSG) and Focus ST. Golf R was way too expensive and not very exciting. GTI was nice but the $3K regular DSG service and pricey running costs were a put off. I was surprised how close it drove to the R for barely over half the price. The focus was what I thought I wanted. Didn't even consider a FiST until I drove one.

I liked the hatchback styling and power. Its practical and sporty. A nice counterpoint to a Mustang without giving up utility.

After reading all the reviews and watching all the vids I could- I knew the FiST was for me! A small turbo hot hatch with go-cart handling and looks sounded awesome to me... and whats more- Cheap! I obsessed over this car for a year before I was able to get one. Knowing that the FoST exists as a "faster", nicer, and roomier" car, there was something that just gravitated me towards the Fiesta. That one thing that sealed the deal in my mind though and caused me to become obsessed, is that every review I read said how FUN the FiST is. When I finally did get mine- it did not dissapoint! At 78k it is still a blast and I love this car. To me, the grass is not greener on the FoST side.

I wanted to get a brand new Mitsubishi Lancer, my parents persuaded me to pull the trigger, but I saw a lovely pre-owned 2015 Fiesta ST for a tempting price. I decided to swallow my love for Japanese cars and give Ford a shot. The only problem I have so far is that I can't come up with enough excuses to get out and drive the Fiesta.

Was looking for a daily driver. Test drove several cars including a Mazda 3 and a Suburu. Friend suggested I test a FoST so I did.Saw the FiST sitting there on the lot and asked the sales guy if I could test it. He was like ya we can take it down the street. He had already allowed me to do a extended freeway on ramp off ramp run with the FoST. It only took going down the street having to drive aorund a vehicle sticking out into the street and bringing it back for me to know I was driving something special. I was grinning ear to ear.
