I don't hate our steering wheel the way I HATED that factory monstrosity in my 2000 Z28, which was replaced by a sparco 383 alcantara suede wheel less than a week after taking delivery of that car new, as I can live with this one for a while.

But I do plan on eventually replacing the FiST wheel with the same as above. ;)

I dont hate the fist steering wheel. I do think it would have been better if it was a little smaller and flat bottom

I don't HATE the wheel, but it's not great. The wheels that so many other companies are using these days are great. D-shaped w/ flat bottoms, etc. The 2014 GLI I just traded in had a fantastic wheel. Ours with the fake leather and what not just isn't awesome. I also wish we had the same wheels the FoST and RS have, much more comfortable IMO. If there was a good local company who could do a re-wrap on it, I'd do it, but in the mean time it is what it is.

I wish it was a little smaller and thicker. My Abarth had the chunkiest, best feeling steering wheel I've ever used. Ever since, I am ruined, every steering wheel feels lacking :(

One of the best things about the Abarth wheel was the girth of it, at first it felt odd but now I miss it when I drive anything else.

What I loved about the sparco 383 wheel, it had that thick, 'ovalized', ergonomic grip, much like that seen on most of the 'works' WRC cars.

Out of curiosity, why'd you get rid of the Abarth and get the FiST?

I just don't like the design with the big chunky square airbag in the middle. I wonder how difficult of a swap the FoST/RS wheel would be. I realize the airbags are different, but knowing Ford they might at least use the same connectors.

I've thought about looking into a swap like this too. Probably need to find a trim with the same steering wheel functions as well.
