Gear selector mechanism on transmission has lots of free play - is it normal?

Been chasing the common shift "clunk" problem in my '14 - RMM & shifter bushings were only a marginal improvement. I decided to pull the intake & battery tray to check the status of the driver side motor mount next.

The mount looks fine, but while I was in there I noticed a lot up/down free play in the shift tower/mechanism where the shift cables attach. Makes a pretty loud clacking noise at both ends of travel.

See video: https://streamable.com/ey860

Shift quality is still normal and it does it in all gears & neutral, so I think it's normal - can anyone compare against their's and confirm?

I get the clack-clack sometimes as well when shifting and disengaging the clutch. No RMM/bushings. I had my half-shafts replaced under warranty, but the sound after less than 6 months.
