I thought the video was interesting.. The modded Fiesta was 1 second slower than the stock Fiesta around the track.

Come on Jeff, I just posted this yesterday. My title was "what a joke", because I think they are idiots.

Missed it, the title isn't one I'd click on.

Sorry to repost then guys, not my intention.

Those guys are genuinely funny though, I think. Just the fact that they're doing this with a FiST is cool. I mean of all the cars they could use and they choose a FiST.

stratified makes your tune based off the mods you have correct? He's running a stock intercooler they are not going to make a aggressive tune for that.

the modded fiesta wasrunning firestone indy500 tires, probably not a grippy around a track than stock tires
I was passing Camaros, BMWs, GT350s, and some others at the track day I went to and I'm on the optional all-seasons. A driver mod may still be in order lol

You can tell they need that too considering how little the steering input is

I think Automobile Magazine actually tested a large number of performance cars at VIR several years ago and included the Fiesta ST in the group as the "slowest of the fast". As far as modified Fist's are concerned, i discovered that the person who makes the mods must consider exactly what he intends to do with his Fiesta. Whats needed for open track use will be different from what would make it improved as an Autocross tool. The cubic dollars required to have speed AND reliability would make most reasonable people consider a more capable car.
