^^^IF the dealer wants to get very draconian, they CAN check and see that the car was tuned at some point with the Ford scan tool by reading the counter built into the ECM, even if one unloads their aftermarket tune.
I'm not sure if Ford requires that this be done before honoring any power train warranty work at all (or if it is required only for certain, very costly levels of replacement warranty work, like a whole short/long block, or head) or not, or whether it is up to the individual dealer.

Ford obviously is interested in aggressively looking for signs of a tune, or they never would have prepared this detailed document. It is interesting reading though.
