    Hey guys. I have here some common wiring information that'll help out with potential audio upgrades.


    Radio 12V+ (Constant): yellow/red

    Radio Ground: black/blue

    Radio Ignition: (CANBUS) Radio turns on through computer

    Power Antenna: (+)black

    Left Front Speaker: (+)white ~ (-)white/brown

    Left Front Tweeter: (+)green/orange ~ (-)gray/orange

    Right Front Speaker: (+)white/violet ~ (-)white/orange

    Right Front Tweeter: (+)violet/orange ~ (-)yellow/orange

    Left Rear Speaker: (+)white/green ~ (-)brown/yellow

    Right Rear Speaker: (+)brown/white ~ (-)brown/blue

    RSE Video (rearview camera video): (+)white/green ~ (-)brown/violet

    AUX Right(+): blue/green

    AUX Left(+): blue

    AUX Ground: yellow/green

    AUX Shield: black

    Satellite Radio 12v: Integrated into the factory radio

    RAP 30amp (retained accessory power): brown/blue ~ Located behind the driver kick panel going into the driver door.

    Reverse trigger: blue ~ Located in the driver kick panel or at the BCM in a gray 24 pin plug in pin 7.

    High Speed CANBUS High: white/blue

    High Speed CANBUS low: white

    Medium Speed CANBUS High: gray/orange

    Medium Speed CANBUS Low: violet/orange


    No reason to have anything out of phase now! If anything else is needed, or if anything is incorrect let me know.

    I've read that the dimmer is also run off the CANBUS, though that may only be on the Focus. For those of us who want to run dimmable gauges, for example, which wire would that be?

    It is in fact controlled by the BCM. No way to integrate to factory system. Maybe run a separate potentiometer?

    Thanks for the info. I may ask more questions when I start installing in case there's a workaround, but I don't have the wiring diagram in front of me.
