Emergency brake loosening and sticking often

My e-brake cable has loosened through normal use. Last time at dealer they tightened it. Was perfect for a few thousand miles. Now it’s loose again like before. Anyone else experience this?

Also, often when I take the ebrake off it thumps (sticks). Could I be doing something wrong?
