It seems like my intake temperatures creep up more than I would have expected with the mountune airbox compared to the stock airbox, I am guessing this is because it's made of metal and allows the heat in the engine bay to transfer into the airbox. So I bought some of this thermal wrap stuff and was planning on wrapping the metal part of the airbox thinking it would maybe block the radiant heat, and insulate it from the convective heat. But when it arrived I realized how thin it is and I don't think I can expect much on the convective heat transfer. Does anyone have any input on if it would be worth installing just from a radiant heat perspective? Any ideas for convective heat transfer?
