I saw someone on social media post about this. Has anyone purchased this GPI Racing radiator? Its an Ebay product but a radiator has no moving parts...... It's the same exact size at the mishimoto but for almost half the price. Figured Id see if anyone has input on this possible option!

Also, for all of the bother it takes for someone like me (yeah, and I know all about all of you hotshot wrenches out there who claim you can get the whole front clip of these cars apart, and back together again, in 5 minutes flat LOL) to do this job, or how much one would have to pay for someone else to do it if you don't have the skills, facilities, or place to DIY, it is NOT worth the even a chance that it might leak, or be defective in some way. [wink] [nono]

Lol. Makes me feel so inadequate when all these guys scoff if you can’t remove the clip and change the intercooler in 15 minutes flat.

I picked up a Mountune radiator in their summer sale here in the UK (as someone mentioned, it's a CSF OEM product).

I know this isn't a complete answer for you, but I was quoted £380 (incl. UK tax @ 20%) for fitting of a Mountune sports cat downpipe and radiator. That is done at the Mountune HQ in Essex, UK.

So, you can kinda figure out a rough cost based on that. It wasn't as much as I thought tbh.

+1 on general feedback of quality radiator. It is half the price but what if it does a worse job or you have an issue? It would be good to think about the time and labor of changing the radiator twice and what the new radiator might cost down the road. If you can, I would save for the best, do it once, and never worry about it again.

Just buy the mrx motor and use the mountune rewards points to buy the radiator. Without a sale brought the price down to 54 dollars lol...

Sadly, Mountune HQ in this land is 3K+ miles away, across the whole country. [:(]

The local tuner shop by me quoted me about 500 USD labor, just to change the intercooler.

Ah that's rough. Do you have any local Ford tuning companies?

I found if I go to a generic tuning shop, they generally don't know what actual work is required and so they overestimate. For example, I got a quote on getting my Wavetrac diff fitted and my local performance company wanted £800, which is crazy. I took it to a Ford specialist called SCC Performance and they did it for £350, simply as they know the car, they know the IB6 box and they know exactly how long it'll take them.

Might be worth looking for somewhere relatively close to you that is used to working on Fords.

^^^That used to exist when CP-E and Mitch were in Baltimore, Md., about 3 hours away from me, but now that they moved about an additional 8.5 hours south of there to South Carolina, they are way out of range for my 'logistical feasibility'. [:(]

Ah that's a shame. Mountune is 2 hours away from me... But that's driving from where I live in the West Coast or where they are on the East Coast. I suppose that's one benefit of a small country, all our shops and race tracks are only a few hours away max.

I sometimes forget how large the US is!

9 hours gets me from the UK, through France, through Belgium and into Germany to the Nürburgring. Can't imagine still being in the same country :)

Good luck anyway, hope you can find somewhere.
