Damn.. I went out Friday night but temps were over 100? and that track has no traction with no grip so couldn't even break into the 14s. Charge temps were above 115? all night.

Lessard,

I just took my Fiesta ST to the drag strip for the first time on Friday night. I think I may have gotten a lemon. The only mod I currently have is a K&N intake, and the best E.T. I managed was only a 15.55 @ 90.6mph. I ran my Focus ST late last year and got a 14.6 @ 96mph completely stock. The Fiesta doesn't feel much slower than the Focus was, but it sure is slower on the time slips. I had 5 passes and never broke 91mph. I launched at 3500-4000 rpm, and shifted at around 5100 rpm. Shifting at 5500 rpm resulted in over a mph slower trap speed. My 60' times were in the low 2.3s range. Before going to the track, I ordered the cobb stage 1 package. I'm debating on just mailing it back for a refund as soon as I get it. I feel like I'd be lucky to break 14's with the tuner, and there are some cars already in the 14's stock. My heart is sad now :(

That is not a bad time for a stock fiesta. How much spin did you have launching at 3500-4000 RPMS? Once you get that stage 1 package, hit adam at mapperformance and get a PRO tune, you will be in the 14's no questions. a PRO tune over the OTS is SOOOO MUCH BETTER!

Not much on the 15.55 pass, but it took some feathering. I see most people on here are launching around 2-3k rpm, so I'll try that next time. With only 90.6mph trap speed, I didn't expect to get any better than the 15.55 in any later runs. I had a slightly quicker 60' time on one of the earlier runs, but not so much quicker that it would have a made a huge difference at the end of the track. I plan on getting the Cobb FMIC next, and the DHM turbo/exhaust upgrade eventually. Is there a better FMIC than the Cobb? I want to make sure I'm not starting with a junk car, though. I'd hate to spend all that money just to be running the same as some stock cars, lol. I'm running at Atlanta Dragway on 93 octane, by the way. I forgot to post that before. Any good shops within driving distance of Athens, GA?

If you're worried about comparing yours vs others then go get a dyno run, otherwise you are just speculating. Also think about the track conditions, humidity and temp. Sea level at 75? is going to be a better time than 95? and higher elevation.

Deadhook FMIC or Contact Nick at Levels Performance about his new ones. So far im the only person with his new fiesta line of FMIC, and its running amazing. i've yet to see a temp spike of over 6 degrees on WOT. idling is a different story down here in florida :/
