so I'm digging through this section and getting dizzy looking at all the wheel/tire combos. I figure ill just ask and see what comes up. I'm looking at the XXR 527s in a 17X7.5 +40 or maybe the rota titans in 17X8 +40. id like to run 215/40/17s. anyone have any links or pics of 7.5s or 8s w/ 215s with around a +40 offset? also, between those 2 wheels, I'm guessing the 8s +40 will stick out a little further than the 7.5s +40... I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole offset thing... I'm on stock suspension for now and don't plan on lowering a ton when I do. 1" or less...

If you go 7.5 with a +36/38 offset, you'll prob have more of a concave look with the xxr's. That being said, this offset will also prob make the wheels stick out like it would on the 8's.

Thanks nexus. After digging.... The 7.5s might be a better choice since 205s would fit a little better and not be so stretched as they would be on 8s and it seems like there's more tire choices in 205 vs 215.

I would stick with the 7.5s too but with an offset of 36/38 depending on the wheel tyoe

I have the Tarmac 17x8 +42 they fit awesome, could easily run a 225/40/17 and still be pretty low.

I'm on XXR 527s 17x7.5 +40 using stock tires and Mountune lowering springs, no rubbing and now issues. Check out my build thread (link is in my signature below) for a few reference photos.
