Lol... i had enough of the cold, which is why I am in Houston TX. :D

The north of Scotland isn't warm and sunny, but I can guess that Minnesota is another level.
It is probably 40cm Polish winter snow... so yea... loads of lithium grease if you ask me, especially all metal to metal contact.

I always suggest taking the bracket off and coating the inside of the lower bracket prior to installation, make life a lot easier later.

Ya but we like to salt the road WAY too much in some parts. Speaking of Winter how cold has the coils been tested? I have morning in winter close to -40c without the wind. I know it would be a stiffer ride but would it be a concern?

Generally speaking they aren't bad.
The damper tube black chromium is pretty tough, and been through as salt spray test under ASTM B117 standard for 120 hours with no rust.
That is why we choose that coating.

in UK, we offer a Anti-Rust Coat that we procure form a chemical specialist company.
This coat actually bond to metal creating a 3 micron thick barrier, but we don't have that in the USA at the moment.

Generally speak, I would suggest coating all metal to metal surfaces in a type of white lithium grease just to add a layer of protection.
But we have plenty of snow and salt in the UK and we haven't really had much problem.

Yes, they are $20 a bottle, so not Earth shattering expensive
I purposely have them in spray atomiser bottle as UPS do not like anything in aerosol that is gong on an airplane.

No, the oil will be stable still in that temp.
And once you get a few miles on and the damper warms up to operating temp, you would never notice.

Yea, -40C, that is cold. [crazyeye]

UPDATE:

Have a look for a few questions that people ask especially regarding the front camber adjustments:
So here is the answer I got from a member in UK Fiesta forum using the MeisterR Coilovers.

I've got Meister r's and didn't have to cut the top mount to fit the camber bit in, do have to drop the leg down and use a ball ended Allen key to adjust the camber though.
You don't have to cut the centre hole if you go -1.5 but if you went more you would mate -1.75 touches on the hole.
I also got the UK warehouse to send me a few quick photo of the ST180 ZetaCRD+ kit.
I will get some better picture later in the week when I get a set over from our USA warehouse, so this is just a little teaser.

The good news is that you don't need to be a lab rat, because we already had them tested and used for years.
I am bringing a set over from my USA warehouse to Houston so i can get some better pictures, so if you ever want to meet up and see them in person just let me know.
Always happy to and meet up with members of the forums... or if there are any local gathering, just let me know. :)


I went and grab Richard's review off the UK forums so you guys can have a read.
He gave a pretty good review of the GT1 as well as the Zeta that he was using.

Now I'd had them on the car for a bit, played with the settings and done a track day I thought I'd write up a little about them.

My Fiesta ST is a 2013 ST-2 with the Peron V1 superstock turbo upgrade (so around 280bhp and 280lb/ft), Quaife LSD, MeisterR GT1 coilovers and PB 304mm 6 pot front brakes.
Running on AD08 tyres.



The MeisterR GT1 has 32 stage damping, the same as the cheaper Zeta-R set up I ran on my previous ST-3.

At 0 clicks, or full soft, it gives good ride control with all of the trademark ST suspension firmness removed. Especially at low speed.
The car is much more civilised around town, over lumps and bumps and to me personally is far better than how they come out of the factory for daily usability.
The Zeta is almost as good in this respect. Both set ups give you a much more compliant ride that makes upgrading to coilovers worthwhile.

At 32 clicks, or full hard, the GT1 is firmer than the Zeta. Imagine the stock ST's hard low speed ride a bit harder, then at every speed. It's firm.
On track it really came into it's own though.
It's firmer than the hardest you can get the Zeta and it performs really well on track. The car still had the traditional Fiesta ST qualities than make them so much fun, but with better control and better communication back to the driver of how the car was moving around.

Of course you can have any number of clicks you like, but I found on both the GT1 and Zeta full soft best on the road and full hard best on the track.
If I was going to use my ST just for road and fast road use, I would probably stick with the Zeta. For what you get (including camber adjustment) it's a well priced set up, giving a softer and better ride together with a slightly firmer ride if desired.
But if you plan to do track days and upgrade the car further the GT1 are a very good choice, with extra firmness and body control you can't get on the Zeta.

The fact that both kits come with camber adjustment included in the price makes them both a good price in my opinion.

I have been very impressed with both kits which I bought with my own money and not subsidised by MesierR in anyway.
As someone who likes track days the GT1 are a clear winner for me.
I tried them after fitting the same spec kit to my 1992 R32 Skyline GT-R where they have been are equally impressive on road and track.

I ask because I have not installed a set of coil overs on any car before, and if I purchased I would appreciate some assistance making sure that I installed them correctly. If I bought and you were willing and able to assist me with the install, we could do a before and after for the thread. I'm on 17x7.5" wheels with 215/40/17 tires.

We will get a few bits done.
Generally speaking it is pretty straight forward, install isn't difficult as it is a complete unit.

It is a case of finding what you want as the driver with the damper setting, that is about the hardest part.
