Air diversion plates on intercooler.

My 2016 is somewhat new to me and was an accident repair eBay buy. The thing has been inspected and everything is solid, paintwork was average not perfect and a wheel is a different color but is masked by brake dust anyway. I’m looking at upgrading the intercooler over the winter and noticed there is nothing around the bumper to force air through the intercooler. There is also no panel under the motor which I’m used to being an ass-pain for oil changes. I’m assuming these things are a ‘my car’ thing and not an ‘it’s a tarted up econobox’ thing. Anyone have some enlightenment about the various plastic shields around the intercooler and under the engine for a proper car?

None of them have any shrouding to force air into the intercooler, nor do they have an undertray. Totally normal tarted up econobox things lol

If you click the link above your post they specifically call out upper and lower air deflectors which I’m suspecting is what I’m missing.

Copy on the under tray.

Supposedly the EU 1.4L Fiesta TDCi (diesel) model had a plastic undertray, no idea why it was just that model, maybe to give a slightly boost to fuel economy?

My IC was changed back in June, and it does come with the diversion plates. I was able to put in the bottom one, but the top one didn't seem to be an ideal fit so I left it out.

Oh yeah, totally forgot about those. I ripped mine out to fit a bigger intercooler.
