Anyone find a 6 piston caliper to run on factory rotors?

Just like the title states. We have a ton of big brake kit options for this car, but I am more concerned with finding replacement parts in many years to come. And I like the idea of running as much factory as possible to help with that.

Has anyone found a 6 piston caliber that will fit on our factory size rotors?

The BBK into hold more heat more then more stopping power

Are you saying its likely to warp a factory rotor? Wouldn't that have more to do with the pad type?

Bigger calipers/pads == more torque == more heat. The stock calipers are well balanced with the stock rotors. You're going to have to find someplace to put all extra heat generated by the bigger calipers or, whether or not you warp the rotors, you will cook your pads and boil your fluid.

Any pads that will work with an odd, itty-bitty 6-pot caliper are much more likely to become difficult to find than consumables in a parts-bin kit that just uses unique hats and brackets. The wear items in the BBKs, rotor rings and pads, are common across multiple applications and, thus, pretty future-safe.

A different option is instead of replacing the calipers, replace the rotors. This requires new brackets to move the calipers outward. The rear is easy as the old SVT focus brackets & rotors fit just fine. The fronts require a bit more work with a custom bracket and a drilled rotor. The rotors are easily sourced by just having a machine shop drill out the larger ones to fit our bolt pattern.

Gold Coast Automotive sells a custom front BBK and the SVT back brackets (and their own custom back solution as well)

Instead of increased heat, you have a larger heat sink and better stopping power due to leverage.

True, except that then one still has all of the disadvantages of a floating caliper. [:(]
