Bumper plug installation question?

So I'm taking the risk and running my car, registered in MD, without a front plate. I just like the way it looks and I'll just keep the front plate on my window seal. But I already have my painted to match plugs from ModBargains and tried to install them the other day. The problem that came up was they didn't go in, obviously or I wouldn't be making this thread. They get stuck halfway in, and I tried to do this real quick in my parking garage so I didn't have the proper lighting to see if it was a depth problem or a circumference problem.

My question is did anybody have any problems installing the plugs? I didn't do any measuring and I know they state the hole has to be between certain dimensions but I just assumed they fit a "regular" screw hole. So before I go drilling a bigger, and maybe deeper hole into my bumper, did anybody else have this problem? Or any other tips or advice about this mod? Any help would be appreciated.

I haven't seen pics of the plugs, but it's definitely not a depth problem. I also can't imagine it having a different circumference the length of the pin, but I could be wrong. I also can't imagine it needing the holes drilled out even further because that basically makes it irreversible.

In short, you're the one with the information. My best guess is that you just need to push harder, but that's based on limited information.

The plugs are made to only fit 1/4" holes so you have to drill out the holes a bit. I would PM MMMTRBO because he has installed it on his.

Got mine from bumperplugs.com, had to drill a slightly bigger hole for them to fit. Depth was no problem.

Mine specifically said I had to drill a slightly larger hole. Did yours come with any instructions?

No worries. Once it was pointed out, the irony was not lost on me.
I was just sitting here right before you posted that thinking damn its Sunday afternoon and here I am on the forum wasting the day! LOL

Your timing of that post was impeccable!
