While, fun at first, this noise is starting to get annoying.
Especially when driving around the po po.
I wonder how much hp I will lose by getting a quieter muffler.
Probably negligible.

IIRC there's an old post with some examples, a bunch of the fastest stock turbo ST's were using stock exhaust since aftermarket doesn't really do much

turbo noise is better anyways

I run no Kitty with a Thermal and its perfect* cruising no drone. Nice Throatiness when you get on it...could because of the Dump pipe though.[driving]

I filled out a web form requesting an appointment to a local tune shop. No reply.
The short of it is, I have no idea my current setup as I bought it this way.
Mountune intake parts, makes the woosh woosh sound, cat back by GForce?
But I did find the noise helpful when people are looking down at their phones when the light turns green.

not familiar with that catback. Do you have a cat on the car? that does a lot for noise control.

I have the stock cat/downpipe and FSWERKS exhaust and its almost too quiet but that was my goal

What cat back do you have? They are not all the same....If you have something like an MBRP you might hate it but love a Thermal.
100% agreed, MBRP had tons of drone and a lot of noise outside as well. Thermal has next to no drone and also no loss of power as it's a full 3" exhaust.

Isn't the g-force exhaust the one from ebay or amazon? I Think there was a thread on here about it a couple years ago, a bunch of different names for the same set of pipe

I actually climbed underneath the car today. It has the Mountune logo etched in it. I tried to count the Mountune parts under the hood.
I forget how many, as I stopped counting. squirrel.
I wish I knew more. I'm a novice to mods and tunes and other things.
All I know is it so much fun.
I wish they still did Solo Autocross here in Akron, Ohio.
And I hope the dealer fixes my check engine code issues.
And I hope the engine block doesn't brake.

Plenty of Solo autocross in the area. I live here and do about 40 events a year (not in my Fiesta)
  • NEO runs at IX center and Captains lot in Eastlake
  • STC region runs at Pitt race international on their skid pad, lots of national champ drivers go there
  • Akron sports car club runs at Dragway 42 at West Salem, though it isn't really traditional Autocross
  • NWOR runs at Toledo Airport - one of the better large concrete sites in the country
